piezosystem jena, a leader in nanopositioning systems, has now expanded the TRITOR series. The Tritor series is field tested, and well known in positioning. The newley added TRITOR 320 is a high load positioner with a free center aperture. The three axis positioning element TRITOR 320 was developed for high accuracy positioning of large loads.

High dynamical properties are achieved as a result of our FEM optimization. Fast and precise positioning can be reached even under masses of up to 20 kg, while still maintaining excellent guidance. Specially designed solid-state hinges afford a guidance without friction, and free of mechanical play.

The TRITOR 320 nanopositioner provides in open loop a travel of 50 µm in the x-, y-directions and 400 µm in the z-drirection. The closed loop version provides a travel of 40 µm in the x-, y-directions and 320 µm in the z-direction. The TRITOR 320 is available in different versions – for example with an integrated measurement system. Vacuum and cryogenic versions are also available upon request, as well as material variations with Invar, Super Invar, Aluminum or even Titanium.
